Wade Ho, CFA FRM
Wade Ho is admitted to practice in both the Supreme Court of Victoria and the High Court of Australia. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master’s degree in Finance from the University of Bristol in England. He also earned a Bachelor of Laws, a Graduate Diploma in English and Hong Kong Law, and a Master’s degree in Philosophy in Hong Kong. Wade is a CFA charterholder and a Certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM).
Wade practises across civil and criminal litigation, business and commercial law, and migration law. He advises individuals, families and corporate clients on complex legal and regulatory issues. His migration practice includes visa applications, merits review and judicial review. In business and commercial matters, he advises on company structuring, shareholder disputes, contractual disputes and crisis management. He regularly appears in contested matters and brings a disciplined, evidence driven approach to litigation.
Wade is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
Before entering legal practice in Australia, Wade spent over a decade in the financial sector across Hong Kong and mainland China. He began his career as a Teaching Assistant at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, before working as a Direct Investment Analyst at a Shanghai listed conglomerate. He later moved into investment banking, where he gained extensive experience in corporate finance, advising on IPOs, equity and debt financing, mergers and acquisitions, hostile and negotiated takeovers, shareholder disputes and boardroom conflicts.
Wade currently serves as an external adviser to a Hong Kong based corporate finance firm. His combined background in law, finance and litigation equips him to handle complex transactions and disputes with clarity and precision, particularly in cross border and high stakes matters.
